It’s our experience that most small businesses don’t have the budget necessary to do expensive research and analysis to determine who their customers really are. It’s also our experience that they don’t know their customers as well as they think they do. Not knowing your customers can lead to advertising in the wrong places, messaging that doesn’t “connect” and dismal marketing results.

Depending on how detailed you want the data to be and what kind of business you operate, we can tailor a program that will meet your needs.

With this information we create “buyer persona’s” that help us target specific marketing approaches to specific target audiences. These persona’s bring your target audience to life and can greatly improve marketing results.

Tips for getting to know your customers better:

  1. Do drawings that require that they give you some key personal information. Ask things like, what are your hobbies, what books and magazines do you read, what radio stations do you listen to. Get their address and email if you can too.
  2. If you’re a service business, call your clients and ask them some of these same questions. They’ll be flattered that you’re showing such interest in them and you’ll really have an opportunity to get to know them better.
